The textured finish to this door perfectly sets off the detailed mouldings, grooves and panelling of the design style making it a great door for a modern home where traditional craftsmanship is appreciated. Bringing together a modern colour with a more traditional looking door is certainly achieved using the Storrington door style from Trends, combined with Brushed Steel as the chosen colour. When added to your home it can be dressed up with purples or reds or down with whites and creams to achieve the modern or classic look you are after.
With its classic Shaker good looks, the Storrington really does deliver in terms of style. Each door consists of vertical panelling that is inset into the central part of the door giving a real focal point that catches the eye. The dual lines are also part and parcel of the handmade look, while the detail perfectly offsets the strong Brushed Steel colour. Run your fingers across this door to really get a sense of the finish as it reveals so much more than simply looking at it will do.
Brushed Steel is a modern shade that works uniquely well on a traditionally styled door such as the Storrington. Surprisingly it is a particularly good combination that works well with other shades in the range. You can add strong colours to this scheme to achieve a more contemporary look or tone it down with whites. For a cohesive look you also want to consider a stainless steel worktop and appliances. However as an accent replacement door the Storrington with the brushed Steel finish works very well on just a few kitchen cabinet doors in certain parts of your kitchen. Finish off the look with brushed steel handles to bring it all together. The Storrington with a Brushed Steel finish really is a great compromise between traditional and modern living.
