It only took me two hours to fit my new doors

July 30th 2011 by .

Hi all at Kitchen Door Workshop

Just a quick message to let you know that it only took me two hours to fit my new doors and draw fronts,as the measurements were perfect. It would not have taken that long except that, two of the draw fronts were on the sink unit and were awkward to fit!

I would like to thank you for your speedy delivery and have already passed on your web site number to friends who were very impressed with the finished transformation.

Please feel free to use me as a reference

Thanks again

What do you think about your new kitchen doors? They look great! They have really rejuvenated our kitchen and we are very pleased with the end result.
How did you get on fitting your new doors? Your recommended fitter – did a professional job.
What does the finished job look like? A perfect finish.
What could we do to improve our kitchen doors or our service? Delivery was not as smooth as it could have been with lots of packages to open and check with the driver waiting. Unknown to us the hinges were delivered separately when we were out and left at the nearby post office – with no note saying that they had come or where the parcel was.
Would you recommend us to others Yes
Any other comments? The quotation arrived quickly and the service was excellent with the only exception being the delivery problems outlined above. Overall we are extremely pleased with our ‘new’ kitchen.

Spruce Up Your Kitchen And Make A Sale – Latest Hometrack Survey Shows Light at the End of the Tunnel

July 29th 2011 by .

If you’re thinking of selling your home, there is light at the end of the tunnel according to the latest sales data from Hometrack, the key property trends survey for the UK housing market. It has registered a 9.6% increase in the number of sales agreed in July compared with the volume agreed in June, an increase of 8.0% in the number of postcodes posting price rises in the last four weeks and a total of 92.7% of sales being achieved at the asking price set by the vendor.

Unfortunately for those thinking of selling their home, the data also showed this pre-summer sales spurt has attracted more ‘For Sale’ boards, with a 2% growth in the number of property listings up and down the country. This is both good and bad news for vendors, according to replacement kitchen door specialists, Kitchen Door Workshop. Robert Clark, managing director of the firm, explains, “All of the figures from Hometrack point to light at the end of the tunnel for the housing market with sales actually going through, a leap in both supply and demand and significantly, a huge proportion of sales agreed at the asking price.

“While it’s excellent news that buyer interest is returning, this means that more houses are being offered for sale which increases competition for those who do wish to sell. In this kind of environment, it’s essential to ensure that your home is presented for sale at the very highest standard with consideration given to selling points such as the appearance of the kitchen and bathroom.”

With the UK economy struggling to show growth in the latest Office of National Statistics (ONO) figures, buyers are expected to be keen to eke out the best possible deal on their new home purchase. This means making the house they buy is in the best possible state of repair and needs little work doing to it to bring it up to scratch. Combined with the larger pool of properties for sale to choose from, something as simple as revamping the appearance of the kitchen can go a long way towards convincing would be buyers to make an offer.

Leading estate agents agree that a new kitchen is the second most attractive feature for buyers behind new bedrooms and one of the most likely features to increase the saleability of a property. However, with a new kitchen averaging thousands of pounds, a complete overhaul is often the wrong way to go as the cost is not offset by the value added to the sale price.

Instead, a fresh new look on a budget can be achieved by fitting replacement kitchen doors to existing cupboards, costing little but having a big impact on sales potential. Replacement kitchen doors are available in just as wide a choice of styles, colours and finishes as a new kitchen.

For a contemporary, trend-led kitchen the Zurfiz range of replacement kitchen doors from The Kitchen Door Workshop is a tastemakers dream. The ultra gloss finish, available in a spectrum of shades from sumptuous, sophisticated plum to sunny yellow, promise to breathe new life in to even the smallest and darkest of spaces. Likewise, the  Zurfiz Ultragloss Woodgrain replacement kitchen doors can transform a kitchen from drab to fab in just a few hours.

More traditional decors are also catered for – the Bella replacement kitchen doors catalogue features dozens of traditional style cupboard doors and draw fronts in soothing shades of ivory and natural wood.
