The Fontwell style in Dark Walnut
Dark Walnut may be the colour of boardrooms, but as shown here on the Fontwell door
from Trends, it can also be great for a kitchen, even one which is dark. All it takes is a few
light and bright touches to really make it come to life.
The Fontwell door is one of our more traditional options and therefore works incredibly well
with the dark and imposing Dark Walnut shade. With its carved-look central panels and the
chamfered edges, the door and drawer fronts, both present themselves as being ideal for
a classic kitchen. However, with the addition of a contemporary colour, you can really
make the most of this design.
Dark Walnut may be a shade which reminds you of panelled boardrooms and executive
desks, but it is also perfect for a kitchen. The colour is shown on a satin finish which really
reflects the light, bringing in brightness even on a dark shade. The colour is a bold one and
will be lightened by using cool cream worktops and tiles. In fact, think of the doors as
merely a backdrop for the lighter coloured accessories and you have a kitchen which will
be less imposing and much more friendly.
When it comes to handles, we have such a huge range to choose from that it could be
easy to be overwhelmed, but we think that thin metal bars are an ideal choice to bring your
kitchen slap bang into the 21st century.
Dark Walnut on the background of the Fontwell door may be a traditional choice from
Trends, but it also has enough detail to be a modern option too.
