Summer seems like a long time ago now - the clocks go back this weekend, and the weather is fairly dreary. Our 'My Summer Kitchen' Pinterest competition ended a few weeks ago, and because the standard of entries was so high, it's taken us a little while to decide on a winner.

But we did finally manage to decide, so congratulations Michael Jobbins - Michael's Scandinavian-inspired board, with its grey, yellow and copper theme, is chic, eye-catching and summery in an effortlessly cool way. If Michael fancied coming round to style our own kitchens, we really wouldn't object. He told us he would be using the Amazon giftcard to treat his wife to something... how generous is that?!

As we've said, choosing a winner wasn't easy - there was a lot of rather fierce debate in the office, and in the final stages of voting, one member of staff (who shall remain nameless) was heard saying, "this is the problem with democracy!" Here are some of our other favourites...

The English Country Garden

Glenda Hanks' floral, rustic-inspired board was a big hit - it reminded us of idyllic country walks, wild flowers and the sound of birdsong.

The Seaside Kitchen

With its strong blue-and-white theme, Aimee Ferguson's board made us think of coastal escapes and serene beach-front living.

The French Farmhouse

Rachel Whatmore's board was another stand-out entry; we love the fresh, neutral colours, the natural materials and the splashes of greenery and copper. Très belle.

The Lush Green Kitchen

Finally, Karen Johnson's board was another strong contender. The clear theme of sleek modern appliances contrasted with natural materials and bold greenery really stood out.

Thank you to everyone who entered - you gave us some stunning, bright and bold Pinterest boards. We'll be running more competitions like this over the coming months so keep an eye on our blog and social channels. Over on Pinterest, we've started putting together our own Autumn interiors board - why not show us yours?
