One of the current interior design themes is the 1970’s look with bold patterned wallpapers, geometrics and somewhat gaudy colours coming back in. Of course, we are doing it in our own 21st century way, but it doesn’t mean you can’t indulge this look when you are choosing your replacement kitchen doors. With the Chichester kitchen door in High Gloss Graphite, you will have the perfect backdrop for all of your 70’s themes. But you will still be able to change your mind at a later date when your tastes change and move on to the next big thing.
The Chichester door features a typical classic design of a central panel that is surrounded by chamfered edges but the look is softened by adding curvy chamfers to the entire door frame and on the drawer front too. This look is traditional and typical of what a 70's kitchen might have had. But in those days the door would probably have been made from a dark wood - this is where you can keep the look updated. By choosing a colour like High Gloss Graphite to keep it firmly in the here and now.
But that doesn’t mean that High Gloss Graphite won’t work with your 1970’s theme. In fact, this colour works wonderfully with colours like orange, burgundy and highly patterned browns and creams. Strangely these shades that might not work on their own and would definitely put contemporary stylists off their breakfast work incredibly well with the backdrop of a glossy and contemporary colour. There is something strangely alluring about this look and while it is bold there is no reason you can't achieve it with the Chichester door and the colour of High Gloss Graphite.
