The Lewes door from our Trends range is a plain-fronted door, and one of the simplest designs we offer. For fans of modern minimalism, the Lewes door is a fantastic choice. Whether you’re after a quick fix for a kitchen in need of some TLC, or you’re doing a full renovation, replacing your cabinet doors can completely change the look of room. The Lewes door’s smooth, uncluttered surface makes it incredibly versatile – not matter what the size, shape and style of your kitchen, the Lewes door will fit in beautifully. What’s more, the Lewes door is ideal for the busy family kitchen, as it’s a breeze to keep clean, thanks to the lack of fiddly detail and gloss finish.
High Gloss White is a crisp, fresh finish that will instantly brighten your kitchen. In a small room, gloss-finish doors in white will reflect all available light and make the space seem bigger, while in a larger kitchen, the high-shine surface and pale shade will further open up the room. Add a little interest to these plain doors with well-chosen handles – have a look at our range of accessories for some inspiration. On a low-key style like the Lewes door, we think bar or bow-shaped handles make the perfect finishing touches.
The Lewes door in High Gloss White will go with almost any other colour, so if you’re redecorating the whole kitchen, consider pairing it with paint and floor tiles in dark grey or navy, for a contemporary take on monochrome. For a warmer, more spring-like feel, colours like lemon yellow, blush pink or creamy lilac will look great against cool High Gloss White.
We do our best to produce accurate images but there may be some slight variation between how the colour appears on your screen and how it looks on the door. We always recommend ordering free colour swatches or purchasing a sample door so you can see exactly what your colour choice will look like.
Please note that doors and drawer fronts are sold separately. Our images show doors with their corresponding drawer fronts, but this is for illustrative purposes only.

Some handles will not fit small drawer fronts and care should be taken before fitting to ensure that the handles you have chosen will fit the size and style of doors/drawers that you have chosen.
Doors are supplied with vertical grain.
This style of door does not come with a mid rail.
The largest door we manufacture is 2540mm high by 1200mm wide.
Frame doors are supplied unglazed, with a rebated back and a soft glazing gasket. Doors can be supplied as Open Frames or Georgian Frames. Tall doors supplied with a midrail can have full open frames (ie with no midrail), top open frames or top and bottom open frames. Please specify this when ordering.
Georgian frames will be supplied as follows:
|Up to 800mm high||4 panes|
|801mm - 1100mm||6 panes|
|Over 1100mm high||8 panes|
The minimum height for panels is 60mm, and the minimum width is 100mm. Maximum width is 1200mm. The grain direction of panels will match the doors - except panels below the height of 282mm, which will be supplied with horizontal grain unless stated otherwise. The backs of panels will match the backs of the doors.
Handles are not supplied as standard, please choose any handle you wish from our range, or fit your own.
Drilling for hinges and handles
We offer a hinge hole drilling service at a modest cost.
Please let us know your hinge hole measurements and we will drill them accordingly. Measure from the top or bottom of the door to the centre of the hinge hole. If you need any guidance on measuring for hinges, watch our DIY help videos or give us a call.
You can have your hinge holes drilled from 60mm from the bottom and top edge of the door.
We are unable to drill for handles.
Matching door backs
The term 'matching back' means that the door will have a similar coloured melamine back, rather than a vinyl back and as such the colour and texture may be different from the front of the door. In particular, textured and high gloss colour doors will be supplied with a smooth matt finish back.
All doors are supplied with matching finish backs with the following exceptions:
|High Gloss Anthracite||Silver back|
|High Gloss Cappuccino||Cream back|
|Brushed Steel||Silver Back|
|High Gloss Metallic Blue||Silver Back|
Horizontal grain is available as a special request in all woodgrain colour options. High gloss colours are available with horizontal grain up to 1200mm high. Standard woodgrain colours are available up to 1200mm high.
The same applies to wine rack fronts, modern canopies, plain canopies, T&G canopies and PVC panels, and are made as specified.
High gloss colours
High gloss finishes are manufactured using a heavier gauge vinyl and as such definition can be less sharp on items which have more detailed designs.
