The Lewes door from our Trends range is a plain-fronted slab door, elegant in its simplicity. Whether your kitchen is in need of a refresh and you want to do it quickly and without splashing the cash, or if you’re going for a full renovation, changing your cabinet doors is a good place to start. Thanks to its pared-down style, the Lewes door is ideal for the busy family kitchen; the uncluttered surface makes it easy to keep the doors looking brand-new – just a quick wipe-over with a soft damp cloth will get rid of any stains and marks.

The Lewes door in Ontario Maple neatly balances contemporary cool and traditional kitchen door design – the smooth surface is the epitome of modern minimalism, while the warmth of the woodgrain softens the starkness of the plain design. Sandy, almost honey-toned woodgrains like Ontario Maple are the perfect finish for kitchen doors, as they bring gentle light into the room. If your cooking space is on the small side, these blond-hued doors will help you create a bright, inviting room, while if the room is spacious, Lewes doors in Ontario Maple will add a hint of rustic cosiness.

When it comes to choosing handles for your Ontario Maple doors, you have a wide variety of styles to choose from. Simple bar or bow handles will play up that low-key Scandi vibe, while D-bar or curl handles in a matt metallic finish will add a little visual interest. Pair your Lewes doors in Ontario Maple with lemon yellow or blush pink for a pretty, cottage-inspired kitchen. Or for a cooler, almost-seaside vibe, use dark blues and white or cream shades – incorporating nautical elements into your kitchen will give you a refreshing holiday vibe all year round.

We do our best to produce accurate images but there may be some slight variation between how the colour appears on your screen and how it looks on the door. We always recommend ordering free colour swatches or purchasing a sample door so you can see exactly what your colour choice will look like.

Some handles will not fit small drawer fronts and care should be taken before fitting to ensure that the handles you have chosen will fit the size and style of doors/drawers that you have chosen.

Doors are supplied with vertical grain.

This style of door does not come with a mid rail.

The largest door we manufacture is 2540mm high by 1200mm wide.

Frame doors

Frame doors are supplied unglazed, with a rebated back and a soft glazing gasket. Doors can be supplied as Open Frames or Georgian Frames. Tall doors supplied with a midrail can have full open frames (ie with no midrail), top open frames or top and bottom open frames. Please specify this when ordering.

Georgian frames will be supplied as follows:

Up to 800mm high 4 panes
801mm - 1100mm 6 panes
Over 1100mm high 8 panes

The minimum height for panels is 60mm, and the minimum width is 100mm. Maximum width is 1200mm. The grain direction of panels will match the doors - except panels below the height of 282mm, which will be supplied with horizontal grain unless stated otherwise. The backs of panels will match the backs of the doors.

Handles are not supplied as standard, please choose any handle you wish from our range, or fit your own.

Drilling for hinges and handles

We offer a hinge hole drilling service at a modest cost.

Please let us know your hinge hole measurements and we will drill them accordingly. Measure from the top or bottom of the door to the centre of the hinge hole. If you need any guidance on measuring for hinges, watch our DIY help videos or give us a call.

You can have your hinge holes drilled from 60mm from the bottom and top edge of the door.

We are unable to drill for handles.

Matching door backs

The term 'matching back' means that the door will have a similar coloured melamine back, rather than a vinyl back and as such the colour and texture may be different from the front of the door. In particular, textured and high gloss colour doors will be supplied with a smooth matt finish back.

All doors are supplied with matching finish backs with the following exceptions:

High Gloss Anthracite Silver back
High Gloss Cappuccino Cream back
Beige Ivory back
Brushed Steel Silver Back
High Gloss Metallic Blue Silver Back

Horizontal grain

Horizontal grain is available as a special request in all woodgrain colour options. High gloss colours are available with horizontal grain up to 1200mm high. Standard woodgrain colours are available up to 1200mm high.

The same applies to wine rack fronts, modern canopies, plain canopies, T&G canopies and PVC panels, and are made as specified.

High gloss colours

High gloss finishes are manufactured using a heavier gauge vinyl and as such definition can be less sharp on items which have more detailed designs.
