Brighton Graphite Bedroom Doors
Having a brighter and lighter bedroom might seem like an impossible task when you also love dark colours and dramatic looks. But if your bedroom happens to be on the darker side of your house and you get little natural light, you might need to learn a few tricks of the trade to get that light in, even if you are going for a dark colour on your wardrobes such as Graphite on the Brighton door. Thereâ??s plenty you can do to ensure that your room feels and looks brighter while enjoying those dramatic shades.
Graphite is truly a colour that really expresses who you are. Deep and dark, it feels organic and natural due to the stone-like look and feel - but it also has the ability to make lighter colours stand out even more. It is about the contrast of white against Graphite that allows you to build the brightness in the room. Paint walls white, go for white bedding and use reflective mirrors around the room and you can have your cake and eat it too - or rather, have your Brighton doors in Graphite and let some light in, too.
The Brighton door is also incredibly good at allowing light to bounce around the room even when you have used a darker shade. The flat frontage is brought forward by a deep chamfer along the edges and will enhance any colour you choose. You can also add light enhancing handles such as those in chrome to add a little more sparkle. Try using some white drawer fronts to lift the look if you feel that there is too much dark in the room. Overall the combination of the Brighton door with Graphite might seem dark, it can easily be lifted by using contrasting white elsewhere.
Colours
We do our best to produce accurate images but there may be some slight variation between how the colour appears on your screen and how it looks on the door. We always recommend ordering free colour swatches or purchasing a sample door so you can see exactly what your colour choice will look like.
Door images
Please note that doors and drawer fronts are sold separately. Our images show doors with their corresponding drawer fronts, but this is for illustrative purposes only.

This style of door does not come with a mid rail.
The largest door we manufacture is 2540mm high by 1200mm wide.

Panels
The minimum height for panels is 80mm, and the minimum width is 80mm. Maximum width is 1200mm. The grain direction of panels will match the doors - except panels below the height of 282mm, which will be supplied with horizontal grain unless stated otherwise. The backs of panels will match the backs of the doors.
Handles
Handles are not supplied as standard, please choose any handle you wish from our range, or fit your own.
Drilling for hinges and handles
All doors come undrilled as standard. However, we offer a hinge hole drilling service at a modest cost.
Please let us know your hinge hole measurements and we will drill them accordingly. Measure from the top or bottom of the door to the centre of the hinge hole. If you need any guidance on measuring for hinges, watch our DIY help videos or give us a call.
You can have your hinge holes drilled from 60mm from the bottom and top edge of the door.
We are unable to drill for handles.
Matching door backs
The term 'matching back' means that the door will have a similar coloured melamine back, rather than a vinyl back and as such the colour and texture may be different from the front of the door. In particular, textured and high gloss colour doors will be supplied with a smooth matt finish back.
All doors are supplied with matching finish backs with the following exceptions:
Avola Grey | Stone Grey back |
---|---|
High Gloss Cappuccino | Cream back |
High Gloss Red | White back |
Magnolia | Ivory back |
Montana Oak | Lissa Oak back |
Ontario Maple | Acacia back |
Paintable Vinyl | White back |
Horizontal grain
Horizontal grain is available as a special request in all woodgrain colour options. High gloss colours are available with horizontal grain up to 1200mm high. Standard woodgrain colours are available up to 1200mm high.
The same applies to wine rack fronts, modern canopies, plain canopies, T&G canopies and PVC panels, and are made as specified.
High gloss colours
High gloss finishes are manufactured using a heavier gauge vinyl and as such definition can be less sharp on items which have more detailed designs.
